WHY NOT KURT SCHLICHT STATE SENATOR?

Kurt Schlicht is a gigantic man with an even bigger heart. “I hear what the voters think and want every day in my businesses” confides Kurt. “Most people don’t know that a career politician after four terms continues to drain the taxpayer with lifetime salary and benefits like career politician Ron Erpenbach.”
Kurt is running for Wisconsin State Senator against Democratic incumbent Jon Erpenbach. “I would eliminate the career politicians like Erpenbach by limiting their terms of office and doing away with permanent salary and benefits once the term has ended. We don’t need career politicians”, exclaims Kurt. Erica, Kurt’s exuberant wife is a very talented nurse serving one of my favorite past Hospitals to practice in – Meriter. Erica is also the campaign treasurer. Equally impressive and extremely pleasant were Kurt’s Finance Director Romona Warden and Campaign Manager Katie Mccallum.
Kurt seemed most open to developing sustainable industries in district 27 (Green County and a good chunk of Dane County including Verona, Cross Plains, Belleville, Paoli, Mount Horeb etc.) as well as real job development. We discussed Germany’s leadership role and prosperity in the solar, wind and dry fermentation industries. “Why couldn’t we develop a geothermal energy industry here in Wisconsin”, Kurt agreed and noted, “We are floating on superheated magma”.
Badgers dig into the side of hills for temperature control and we could go farther underground for a low cost sustainable energy industry with plenty of jobs. Kurt is also Badger like in his strength and tenacity. Even when his own life was on the line, Kurt recognized his need for rehab and fought a ridiculous waiting list in one of my former traditional inpatient programs and was admitted despite all the odds against him. I have no doubt he will fight every bit as hard for all the citizens of Wisconsin not only the lucky ones living in District 27. Too many citizens and their families lack the survival skills and ‘never give up’ athletic ability so much a part of Kurt. He will need it as well as his spectacular staff and friends to fight the current health, financial, judicial and governmental blockades. Defeating Erpenbach is just job one. Too many die from the failings of these monstrous systems. The modern systems don’t have a clue as to helping families plagued by our nations number one terrorist – treatable illnesses like alcohol, drug and behavioral addictions. Thank goodness we have a candidate who does – Kurt Schlicht.
